I have always enjoyed showing my dogs but they are first and foremost family pets. My showing has always been rather limited and I have only ever bred for my next generation. Along with the cavaliers we have always been owned by a springer spaniel and for fourteen years we also had a rescued bearded collie.

Cher, pictured above on her 10th birthday, was my first cavalier in 1972. She was a grandaughter of Ch Pargeter McBounce and Heatherside Bowstones Gareth. Though never destined for the showring ring she remained a much loved companion and household boss for fourteen years.

My first showgirl was a B/T, Chandlers Tracy of Tambro, who was later joined by Chandlers Rubygirl of Tambro, both bred by Vera Preece. Later arrivals were Pantisa Paeonia, Pantisa Hattie, Salador Ceridwyn and Montbarle Miss Marples. They and their offspring kept our flag flying throughout the 1970's and early 80's.
I have been out of the ring a long time now, apart from the odd foray into veteran classes and a short spurt in puppy classes with a more recent addition, Rhybank Carmen Jones of Tambro.Still very much involved with the Breed though as President of The S&W Wales CKCS Club. I have judged cavaliers, other toy breeds and some utilities at Open Show level since 1981.

Pictured above are Chandlers Tracy of Tambro ( Katy, centre), Her b/t daughter Tambro Natalia (Roxy) and Pantisa Paeonia of Tambro ( Gracie). My three lovely girls were all multiple BOB winners and all well placed at the few championship shows  we were able to attend.
